Sarah Huckabee Sanders blames Mika Brzezinski for president’s sexist bullying

As the eye-rolling commences from conservatives weary of President Trump childish Twitter tantrums, the official word from the White House is the commander-in-chief did nothing wrong when he directed a sexist attack at Mika Brzezinski Thursday morning. In fact, she had it coming.

Deputy press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders went on Fox News to excuse the president’s insults of Brzezinski, saying that Trump hasn’t ever been someone who “gets attacked and doesn’t push back.”

“This is a president who fights fire with fire and certainly will not be allowed to be bullied,” Sanders said, which is a funny way to frame it — that the most powerful man in the world could somehow be bullied. Even the Fox News host wondered whether Trump’s comments about “low I.Q. Mika… bleeding badly from a face lift” were necessary. But apparently neither Sanders, nor Trump himself, believe that being the bigger person is something he, as President of the United States, needs to be concerned with.

A spokesperson for first lady Melania Trump, who has supposedly made combatting cyber-bullying her main concern while in the White House, said she feels the same way.

I’m just going to say it, folks — Can you ever imagine President Obama getting so flustered by something a cable news pundit said about him that he’d personally respond to it? Can you imagine some shit like this even being on his radar? No, because he actually had some class, and was more concerned with running the country than feuding like a kindergartner.
