I tried making this several years ago.

Its appalling how much blue food coloring it takes to get that dark blue color. I was literally pooping blue for days.

That blue is so vivid! Would you mind sharing what type of food coloring you used?

I'd suggest cutting the caramelized edges of at least the white layer so it'd look a little cleaner but this is still really neat! :)
