Not access to health care, access to insurance - the outcome of the latter is very hard to study:https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2010/03/myth-diagnosis/307905/ …

But the data for improving health outcomes via tax cuts for the rich is even weaker, I believe.
-
If GOP goal was to cut taxes They should eliminate taxes for everyone making less than $250,000 and double taxes for everyone making more
-
And this would stimulate the economy. Working clas will spend it. The rich do not create economic growth for. Anyone but themselves
-
Kansas proved that with their little economic experiment, and the tax cuts finally had to be repealed...by the Republicans, no less.

Losing subsidies for insurance is not the same as losing access to healthcare.
-
It is if without the subsidies you can't afford to pay for healthcare.
-
Reforming insurance markets will make insurance more affordable, but people should be able to not buy insurance if that is their preference.
-
reforming insurance markets = shitty "insurance" to maximize profits
-
Actually Obamacare's fancy policies are much more profitable... if people could afford them.
-
Yes those fancy plans that everyone in congress has, that include mental health, prexisting conditions and emergency services...
-
Health insurance literally determines whether you can even get an appointment without having to go to an urgent care center or the ER.
-
What the actual hell are you talking about? Markets? This is people living or dying at the whims of the market and whose regulating them.

If you're going to argue "losing access" it's relevant that CBO said most of those uninsured would be b/c they were no longer FORCED.
-
The CBO says that people will make an economic decision not to have ins; the system bears them anyway because of the ER care imperative.
-
With 58% actuarial value ins doesn't make economic sense for any but sickest, driving up cost for plans. A recipe for a REAL death spiral.
-
Precisely. If you dispute that, I would love to hear from you. A thoughtful defense of this plan is not currently in evidence.

You're too smart to believe the CBO on the mandate.
-
You're too smart (are you?) not to listen to the governors. Even barely-Dem businessman CO Gov John Hickenlooper says too much too quickly.
-
@bdomenech isn't too smart for literally anything, I wouldn't be surprised if he drowned in the shower -
Federalist Society, Heritage Foundation, ALEC, Cooler Heads, Grover Norquist - authoritarian anti-gay anti-union Joe Coors' sad legacies.
