I think its a big reveal. Surprise! Rick was Morty the whole time. In the frame right before this, rick is violently killed and when we come back from commercial, this happens. We learn Morty was asleep in bed the whole time and Rick was just taking care of some shit.

      Every Rick and Morty have to have certain qualities in order for them to be considered registerable in the council of Ricks. If a Rick has no Morty, and Vice-Versa, he cannot be a member. Our Rick is special in that he chose not to register, despite having all the necessary qualifications.

      All this said, that Rick being in the Council has to also have a Morty. Or that Morty has to have a Rick. It cannot be neither, nor can it be both.

                Morty is a clone of rick. They have the same brainwaves. Waves are cancelled out by identical waves not opposite waves as Rick implied (cause he lies to Morty all the time and Morty is an idiot). To cancel out his brainwaves he would need the same exact waves running against his and that would nullify them.

                Tiny rick is somewhat irrelevant. He's a clone created in a tube likely modified to still look like adult rick just small. Morty is a natural clone that was actually birthed.

                        There's no such point from a scientific perspective. If you trace back to the point at which life was first created on Earth, the theory is that natural processes produced pre-cellular replicating molecules, and evolution took over from there. The chicken/egg question doesn't address this in any meaningful way.

                                That's a joke about how they will never use time travel as a story plot. It's been shelved. Morty is not going to be Rick. I am sure of it. Too much stuff doesn't make sense and they won't be doing any time traveling, at least Roiland/Harmon confirmed it and think it's a cheap ploy to use for storytelling. I mean, I LOVE me some time traveling, but I do not ever expect to see it in R&M. Who knows, though.

                                              Actually the Morties basically cant be any other age. All Morties descend from the exact same sex session between Beth and Jerry. All Summer's descend from the exact same timeline till she is conceived, thus why everything gets "predictable" when she exists.

                                              Basically, Morty cant exist in any timeline unless Summer was born and everything was exactly the same till he was conceived.

                                              Have sex at a slightly different time and you get a different kid cos different sperm will reach the egg, just like how siblings aren't clones of each other.

                                              Point being that in every universe, Morty is the basically the exact same age and this is the same with every other character (unless he was ever a cesearian and pulled out earlier, etc).

                                                        I think that it's figurative. We've been shown plenty of times that Morty might not be as stupid as everyone thinks and Rick definitely keeps him around for some other reason than his brainwaves. I think Rick has invented time travel hence the "time stuff" box as well as his ability to stop time in the last episode of season 1 and I think Rick knows that Morty or at least Morty c-137 is a very important person in some aspect. And maybe Rick is trying to make sure our Morty turns out good unlike eye patch Morty.

So, everytime something fucked up happens and Rick wants to try again, he just travels back in time and tries again. Of course, he may have already iterated through a vast number of timelines to get him nearly infinite possibilities. The only gotcha being that he would probably be a lot older. Maybe that is what those seeds do: they just stop you from aging. Which is why Rick is constantly drunk: he is always drinking his youth serum. Maybe that's Rick's real technological advantage, and all the other time traveling Ricks will age normally.
