About this project
Special shoutout to Darcy Neal of LadyBrain Studios - her video launched it, Burnt Soul Clothing for making it viral, and Artie Beavis, marketing mastermind at Arduino and Hackster, for being the first to give it major attention.
Amazing former Art/Tech students that helped me make the film: Jonas Assaad - Mister Europe 2016, professional model/actor; Kaan Bouwman - Videographer (Visco Group); Kevin Wagner - Musician. You all make me proud to have been a teacher.
Thanks to my friends: Dimitrios (my patient boyfriend), Dimos and Despina, Marie, Zenna, Namrata, Emil, Ellinor, Rebecka and Frederik.
Thanks to Kim Andre, aka Di Di Cancerella for being fabulous. Thanks to Ranya Asadi and Tina Le for putting together a dance routine.
Thanks to Fredrik Norrgren for loaning us the lighting equipment on short notice. Thanks to Ola Krondahl for helping us film.
Thanks to previous Kickstarter successes, Philip Robertson of Freedrum and Daniel Mascarenhas of Flyte, and Michael Raven of Blazon PR (and Jonas Johansson for the connect) for their useful advice.
Thanks to Arduino for accommodating my quick departure.
Risks and challenges
You've seen the viral video. You might have even seen me wear the prototype in person. We are just a step away from a final production model.
We need to meet our goal as quickly as possible. The sooner we meet it, the sooner we can commission our manufacturers to start producing f.lashes. The sooner we do that, the sooner we can get it to you.
Our production specifications have been sent and we have already chosen a reputable manufacturer that has a strong record for reliability and quality.
We will deliver. In fact, we will actually try to do our best to beat the projected delivery dates so that everyone can wear them to the events they have planned.
