That said, the ACA exchanges in many states have *real* problems: low competition, high prices, etc... Those problems need solutions 3/x

But here's the thing: solving those problems has NOTHING to do w cutting taxes for the rich & cutting medicaid 4/x

And yes cutting hundreds of billions in taxes for rich peopel and hundreds of billions in spending on Medicaid is MOST of these bills 5/x

"ACA's imploding! Insurers are pulling out of exchanges! So we have to... cut taxes on investment income and slash MEdicaid!" 6/x

But one has nothing to do with the latter. They could keep the ACA taxes on the wealthy and Medicaid and do whatever to the exchanges 7/x

They don't do that because, as many have pointed out: the tax cuts and Medicaid cuts *are the point*. 8/x

And one tell is that infamous line from Paul Ryan that he's been dreaming of block granting Medicaid since he was in college. 9/x

THIS burns my ass. Folks died for the right to vote, yet so many people are too lazy or pathetic to be involved in our democracy.

Too be fair you guys don't make it easy to vote, especially for the poor and minorities. If I was on fence about voting wouldn't wait 5 hrs

No national holiday. No automatic registration. Drivers license required. Closing polling places. It's more than "ppl being lazy" 1/2

Yes apathy among young people especially is an issue throughout developed world.

How many young people do you know? Every single one I know voted. They're not the apathetic ones; they still have thought a vote mattered.

Maybe the ones you know all voted but it's a problem everywhere getting 18-35s to vote. Least likely age group to vote. Stats. I'm 35.
