Vixole was supposed to be a shoe with built-in flexible LED screens much like Shiftwear. Unlike Shiftwear which had nothing but renders for well over a year, Vixole had a video from the beginning that purported to show real shoes displaying real graphics. Yay Vixole!

But despite a promising start (well, "promising" if you're the kind of person who is more than a bit gullible) Vixole has gone the way of all shitty IGG campaigns. Shipping was supposed to be this month but there's been no updates since April. Vixole.com is now just showing a Squarespace "expired" page. And then Alan Lam, one of the campaigners, posted a number of posts where he blames it all on two of the other team members:

Vixole actually didn’t even raised a quarter of a million. They didn’t even break even. In fact, they loss money, lots of money. After like 30-50+ refunds, fees, ads, salary, partners and 30K+ on that one Indiegogo video. They’re broke. But don’t worry, the co founders are rich. So if they believe, they’ll continue to fund the biz with their own money.

I don’t even think they can even develop the product and if they can, it’s going to be a shitty first generation. I’ve seen the prototype that was being developed. Just gonna say, don’t expect what you think you’ll be getting. Camera tricks, Photoshop and preimere pro sometime fools the eyes.

The biggest reason why they’re delayed in developing and delivering the product and providing 0 customer support for months, besides the fact that they’re probably in China now trying to find investors, is because your product is being developed and support tickets answered by co founders (Ali and Jackson) with no technical or professional background other than talking about ideas, stragegizing and bullshitting.

Coming to work as late as 5pm and leaving everyday at midnight doing almost nothing most of the time. I could be a lot harsher, but I’ll keep the juicy stuff maybe for next time. Probably gonna get kick off Indiegogo when Jackson and Ali comes back from China, haha.

But hey, what do I know right? They might make it. They managed to fool me and you, but maybe they’ll fool investors and might actually just make this thing possible. Even if so, I’ll never associate myself with Jackson and Ali ever again in the future. Messed up kids.
