Hi, Bell Fen! - Luminous Hyaena

Sometimes I write things. But this is usually an aesthetic blog.

Yes, I understand that there are other reasons an employee can be suddenly unable to work, but all else being equal, a clone is always at greater risk. And, let's be honest: we're not talking about a small chance. We're talking about a virtual certainty. Oh, sure, your original *says* you don't need to give up your heart, sure, your original's dead and your doctor *says* they won't murder you to sell on the black market, but that's never true. You all end up carved up, usually fairly soon.

All right then, here’s what you do.  You hire clones.  You pay and treat them the same as everybody else, for cover.  And then you bet with your friends about whether you will have an employee die during some period of time and clean up.  Can’t lose, they’ll end up carved up and probably fairly soon, right?  And while they do you this probabilistic financial service you give them paychecks so they can buy canned tuna when it’s on sale.  Win-win.
