About this project
"Humans have an innate tendency to put things in order".
This is why we created FitCube, a revolutionary art piece that fits perfectly together. It has 2 congruent parts that slide in together into a unique and single cube. Small and light, FitCube helps reduce stress and anxiety wherever you go!
These models are the first of a series of FitCube, as we have more exciting models coming soon.
Regular fidgets are fun to play with but do not reduce the amount of stress in users. It actually, for some people, increases stress because users do not get a sense of accomplishment, repeating the task over and over again.
What makes FitCube different from any other fidget is the sense of satisfaction it provides the user with. It is made out of 2 different parts, and can be removed and put together smoothly, bringing a sense of order and completeness.
Slide it in, slide it out, and find how 2 unusual shapes can turn into an impeccable shape.
The project of FitCube came up a few years ago when my roommate and I were both in art school. We really found it oddly satisfying when random every day objects would fit perfectly together. We then, later found that there was a group called “Things that fit together” with other people finding satisfaction in perfectly fitting objects; this is when FitCube started.
As more people joined this project, we all had the same idea in mind, which was to satisfy the user. We started to draw sketches and select what would be the best material and size for the user.
After many prototype, help from industrial designers and psychologists, we entered the full screen stage of our project and came up with our final prototype.
A successful campaign will allow us to get FitCube from a prototype stage to the market. It will enable us to manufacture locally the necessary production and give us access to additional markets.
It will also allow us to invest into developing more models. This way, we will be able to push this project even further, creating desk toys with different (noble) materials and shapes. We strongly believe that FitCube has a great future and we are so grateful to share our project with everyone
Risks and challenges
We are passionate about our project both from our perspective but also because we want to deliver our customer the best product.
We have chosen experienced local suppliers and manufacturers who have an expertise in the material used and are very reliable. The fact that they are local manufacturers will allow better communication and quality control over our production.
We are minimizing the risk of anything going wrong to a minimum. Our timeline is realistic and we are committed to keep you informed about the progress of the project in the time up until it's time to ship out rewards.
