Interesting to see Dems & liberals speculating more $ or different positioning would have helped Ossoff, rather than "being a Republican."

John Ossoff ran quite a strong campaign. But short of actually BEING a Republican, there's nothing "more he could have done..."

Except for one thing: find more Democrats and get them to the polls. That's the magical elixir you're looking for, folks. Find. More. Dems.

Republican voters are not going to suddenly stop liking tax cuts and cutting anti-poverty programs & deporting people, or Donald Trump.

They're going to keep liking those things and voting for them, and for Republicans, because ... well ... they're Republicans.

In conclusion: great job Ossoff. Strong race. You found lots more Dems, registered lots of Dems and got some indies to vote Democratic.

Doing that was very helpful to the Georgia Democratic Party, and made the race competitive.

Republicans in California didn't suddenly become more liberal (case in point: Stephen Miller is from the Bay area). The population changed.

Bernie got killed 2:3 in GA06 in Dem primary so I doubt it would've helped tonight. Maybe in other races, but this 1 required a centrist.
