During my daily tour around the familiar ponzi-subs in sarch of comedy gold, I stumbled upon "IOTA" which some people claim is going to be (you guessed it) the "next huge thing" and the hype-crew seems to be out in full force already since you can now trade it on an exchange.

Here's their browser breaking website and here's the whitepaper [PDF-Warning]. It's written in Latex and contains a metric shitton of buzzwords and math so I immediately knew that I better take them seriously. I must, however, admit that I don't really understand their approach but it does look a tad different from the Butt-Model and all the other variations (PoS, PoC, PoW etc.).

Have any of the technically versed skeptics in here already looked at this? I would be really interested in hearing some opinions.
