WH motivation is not to suppress info. WH briefings offer little info. And voice delivers what little they offer.

WH motivation is to eliminate images/video. Not info per se. Why?

One possibility: Spicer does not want Trump to see what goes on in briefing. Trump is the only viewer Spicer fears.

Another possibility: Images and video live and thrive via social media in ways text does not. So limiting video dampens briefings.

Might be other reasons. I think it's duty of WH press core to 1) Discover or derive reasons for policy and 2) Resist.

But this is not a simple matter of restricting "information." It's something much different and weird. Perhaps more pernicious.
