I'm a huge history buff and just got back from Rome a month ago. It is an incredibly beautiful city and is covered with western history and culture from head to toe. I would say Rome is the capital of the western world. Aside the beautiful scenery and friendly people, I was surprised by the sheer numbers of North/Eastern Africans and Middle Easterners throughout the city. Everywhere we went, we were harassed by some brown or black person, shoving a selfie stick or other garbage in our face. Men kept coming into the restaurants and trying to force you to buy flowers. Literally putting them right in your face. We saw one woman say she didn't want the flowers, but payed the man to go away while the workers just sat there and did nothing. I lost my patience the first day. You really don't realize how many of these "refugees " Italy has taken in till you go there. This is the only bad thing I have to say about that whole trip.
