They only poll people who drive diesel trucks

From what I gather, Rasmussen only polls people with landlines. So if you only have a cell(young people) they don't reach you. So it skews.

It's funny/sad how data can be manipulated & intentionally misinterpreted like that & most people never even try to look any deeper.

Agreed. These same tactics are used in research & business, not just politics, to influence ppl & usually not to their benefit.

Often Used in business (guilty!) when: a) ur confident the datum represents reality b) audience doesn't have access to contradictory data

In this case, trump either a) is the unwitting audience b) assumes (probably fairly) that his base are incurious enough to lap it up readily
