Even for people who don’t care about human accessibility, some elves have the same issues. I have a decreased visual range for an elf, something about retinas that I couldn’t understand when the doctor explained it, but it means I can’t see in ultraviolet and it would be expensive to get treated. Usually this isn’t a problem, and my vision is still better than almost any human’s, but I can’t read signs written in black-on-UV text. Things that “just” help humans can help elves too.
Thanks for the reminder! There’s lots of people who benefit from accessibility, sometimes in unexpected ways, and it’s always worth remembering to incorporate it into a design intended for the general public.
