FAQ

• How much will I get paid?

  Mentors are paid by how active and engaged their students are. Mentors who manage 20 students at a time have earned an average of $500/month.

  Reviewers earn an average payment per project of $25, but payment varies between $5-$50 depending on the degree of knowledge required to review the project.

• Will I get paid for training?

  We do not offer compensation for any mentorship training.

• Do I need to have a U.S. visa to participate?

  No, a U.S. visa is not required, as this is a contract opportunity through Udacity. Mentors are not employees of Udacity. Mentor opportunities are available around the world. Your country's eligibility is dependent on PayPal's mass payment method restrictions. See a list of supported countries below.

• Do I live in an eligible country?

• Why isn't my country on the list of supported countries?

  Udacity pays Mentors via PayPal mass payments, meaning that we can only certify mentors in countries for which PayPal has enabled mass payments. If this changes in the future, we may allow Mentor applicants from more countries to participate in this program.
