Trump supporters — especially those who voted for the Republican candidate because they didn’t like Hillary Clinton — are starting to express some doubts about their choice.

Although most of his base supporters seem to agree with Trump that the Russia investigation is a “witch hunt,” some of his voters are concerned about the scandal that’s engulfing his administration and stalling the Republican agenda, reported the Wall Street Journal.

“If they are looking into him obstructing justice, that’s a tough one to hear,” said Jennifer King, a Republican voter who works as church secretary in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

The 31-year-old mother of two isn’t sure she’ll vote for Trump again because she feels he’s broken his promises to protect Medicaid, pursued trade policies that could hurt the dairy industry and immaturely attacked his opponents.

“Maybe all these temper tantrums are part of his bigger plan,” King said. “I don’t feel bad I voted for him. Whether I will vote again for him in the next election, I don’t know.”

A new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll found that four in 10 Trump voters backed the real estate developer and former reality TV star because of they disliked Clinton, and not because they liked him or his policies.

Trump’s approval rating has dropped 19 points — from 95 percent to 76 percent — from February to May.

“All of this stuff he is doing is really turning off a lot of people I’ve talked to,” said Cathy Coats, an independent who backed Trump and voted both times for Obama. “I hope he wakes up and realizes that people who were supporting him are no longer supporting him.”

Coats, who recently moved from North Carolina to Florida, is worried the Russia investigation and other White House scandals would keep the president from delivering on his campaign promises.

“They did promise us a new health care law, but I don’t even know what it is about — who is covered, what is covered,” Coats said. “What’s concerning me about everything is that we are — and rightly should be — investigating Trump more than taking care of the country.”
