A Poop Tale is an old school platformer game adapted to the new times, keeping the gameplay and the addictive and nasty difficulty of the games of long ago but adding more modern elements and mechanics. And yes, it's a poop’s game, but not a generic one!
The release of the game on Windows is scheduled for late 2017, but we would love to see A Poop Tale run on other platforms!
In A Poop Tale you must guide Micchi and her friends on a journey that begins inside an anonymous gut. The goal will be to reach THE HEAVEN OF THE POOPS, the final destination in the life of every turd. To succeed in this fecal odyssey, you must take full advantage of the different skills of the friendly poop’s to overcome the obstacles and enemies that will be encountered along the way.
This game receives influences from great titles such as Megaman, Super Mario World, Earthworm Jim, Aladdin... The graphic section has a pixel art that courageously mixes the adorable and the scatological in an almost impossible combination.
On the other hand, the soundtrack is a tribute to those squeaking and beautiful melodies of the era of the 16 bits that cause us so much nostalgia. Do not hesitate to listen to some of the pieces that our composer, Iñigo del Valle, has created for the game.
This game does not have just one main character, it is in your hand to choose the characters you are going to control. You can choose from a group of 9 poops, each with its own personality and unique qualities. With which one do you feel most identified with?
The poops mentioned above are classified into 3 large classes, each gifted with unique characteristics and skills.
Common poops: They are characterized by having balanced attributes and great agility when moving quickly and overcoming obstacles. In addition, their light bodies make that they can jump great distances making use of certain elements of the stage.
Solid poops: They are usually somewhat clumsy and slow, but they are very resistant and dangerous in the combat thanks to their brute force, with which they can also move certain heavy elements.
Flaccid poops: They are not usually too resistant, however, their gelatinous bodies allow them to adhere to some walls and climb them without problems to reach areas unattainable by other means.
To start a level with guarantees of success, you should build a team of 3 poops, choosing one of each type of the existing classes. Although you only control one character, you can alternate between the team members during the course of the levels according to your needs. The 3 poops share the same health bar, so if one of them is eliminated, everyone will fall with it.
At the beginning of your adventure you will have 3 poops. If you want to get all the characters, you must first unlock them by using golden turds. You can get golden turds at most levels of the game. Finding them all will be a great feat!
Remember that each poop uses different attacking forms and has unique skills, so set up wisely your team that best suits your game style or level requirements. There are over 25 different combinations!
Throughout his adventure, Micchi and his friends will have to go through different environments, each one more extravagant and dangerous. The variety of these worlds goes from the interior of some dark guts, to the noisy streets, to a hideous sewers and other places that is better not to mention at the moment.
In addition to the classic levels of traditional platform in which we will have to advance by fighting enemies, solving puzzles and avoiding obstacles, there will be others in which, for example, our visibility is drastically reduced causing any obstacle or enemy to become a mortal trap. In other cases, we will be forced to flee while we are being pursued by a mortal enemy or element (either an avalanche of feces or a shopping lady).
Besides, and how could it be otherwise, at the end of each world we will have to face fearsome zone bosses. The key to defeating these enemies and accessing the next world will be to uncover their weaknesses, memorize their patterns and build a team that best fits with your combat tactics.
Many are the dangers that await us during this adventure, and the enemies we meet along the way will be no exception. Blood clots, intestinal bacteria, earthworms, feces, rats, baby crocodiles, mutant piranhas, living snots and flies among other infamous creatures will do their best to hamper our progress.

From the outset, we have clearly understood the significance of this platform for indie and novice developers like us, who have no resources but want to make room in this very competitive market. We want to share our passion for what we do and allow others to join us in supporting our wild projects. In addition, we hope to be able to compile the valuable feedback from the Kickstarter community. Can you ask for more?
Riesgos y desafíos
Our philosophy is simple: if you have to do something, you must do it in the correct way and until the very end. We are very aware of the level of seriousness and commitment that this community expects, and the last thing we want is to betray this confidence.
However, it is true that there are certain risks that could hamper the good development of the project, such as the impact of a giant meteorite in our country, or that a crowd of agitators with torches manifest in front of our houses to prevent us from moving forward with the project. By saving 2 or 3 similar situations we can safely say that the risk that you remain without playing A Poop Tale is ZERO.
If we talk about real risks, the worst that could happen is that the exit of the game (scheduled for December this year) is delayed one or two months. This could happen if for example we have an unexpected success and consequently we are forced to drastically expand the content of the game. On second thought this would not be so bad, would it?
