My close friend of 15 years just told me "Go fuck yourself chink" after I tried to help him.

He's a tall White male, thought he was a special snowflake. Now I don't know who to trust.

My argument was "There's good and bad in every race" maybe true but there's too many bad White ones.

He was harboring his racist perception of me in secret for over a decade while thinking he was a good friend.

I am gonna give yall some tips on how NOT to trigger your white male friends:

  • Do not engage in public display of affection with a WF

Agree completely. Asians, like all POCs, have to learn to get along with them. Especially at work.

Yeah, same thing happened to me earlier this year with a white-passing Jewish friend whom I've known for decades -- in fact, I went to his wedding just last year.

He didn't say anything blatantly racist (he's a virtue-signalling liberal who prides himself on being PC on Facebook, etc.), but since Trump's election, he knows which way the wind is blowing and doesn't want any Asian friends anymore. China = bad. Asia = bad. Asians = bad.

Plus, he's on antidepressants which can turn people into happy-yet-shallow assholes.

I figure I'm better off without him. I truly believe in karma and I know when it hits him, I'll hear about it.

Edit: the reason why I mention that he's Jewish is I've been getting the strong sense that his anti-Asian racism is from his own internalized (and unresolved) racism.

I know what you mean. I am a Thai dude in Germany and had this russian friend who I knew for 10 years. We were like real bros and knew many secrets and weaknesses from the other. Someday this "harmony/consensus loving" asian woke up and realized, nobody gives a shit about you or your feeling so why should you care about them?
