Why does the multiplayer not work post 0.9?

So every group and game I see does not play past version 0.9 and from experience playing multiplayer on the latest build is not an option due to desync. So why is this not a priority for the devs of this mod? I understand the game engine isnt perfect but surely the mod could be optimised so that multiplayer could actually work with a game version that was actually released in the last year.

Judging from older threads about multiplayer issues the desync is caused by all the extra events and other bells and whistles. Apparently the devs can't really do anything about that.

As for optimizing the mod, well, if that means getting rid of content until the engine is able to handle the mod in multiplayer then I'm firmly opposed.

Because honestly multiplayer is not a priority in my opinion. If it worked perfectly that would be great but I don't want to gut things from the mod to make it work.

Most of the issues are not actually our fault but things we cannot fix as paradox has to change things on their end, sure we could remove all the things that cause desyncs but that includes all the dragons, the slave system, triarchy, misc election events etc. And honestly keeping those is more important imo.

The rest of the mod is actually quite well optimised, it is just the desyncs from those systems that happen for unknown reasons.
If a post is edited in this colour then it was done by me for moderation.

Playing westeros after all dragons are dead seems to generally be fairly stable in MP. Since generally that means not dealing with the above mentioned systems that cause desync. Also, in my experience it's primarily if the player is involved in the systems the desyncs occur-I can play aegan's conquest in MP so long as I never actually use balerion's dragon abilities. Aegon's two sisters seem to be able to use them alright in MP.

That said, ck2 in general can have quite a load on MP and cause desync's quite readily even in vanilla, and much worse in mods. While some systems seem to guarentee a desync, some desync's simply can't be fixed by removing 90% of the unique mod mechanics, scripts and decisions due to being a base game thing.

Vanilla CK2 multiplayer is pretty decent stability wise though...?

Yea I had a look at it on Modb, it would be great but you arnt going to add any popular dates, not even any of the book ones :/
