Everyy leaf on the tree is the page of a different book from somewhere in the universe. Xenoanthropolgists wander the forest, trying to assemble the languages and technologies of alien civilizations.
“This is just in Korean.”
“So?”
“I thought it was from random places in the universe, what are the odds -”
“Oh. It only does books. Turns out that’s us and like two other planets. But one of those planets has a plant where if you break an icicle off it, it sings a song…”
