At no time in the last century have so few held so much of our nation's wealth, nor have our children faced less prosperity than their forebears.

The two-party system has failed us. The moment has come for American citizens to come together for our mutual benefit to solve the problems that lie before us. The Justice Party issues a clarion call to join our community of concerned Americans demanding social, economic, and environmental justice for all, not just for the wealthiest Americans and their corporations. The Justice Party is a grassroots, broad-based, real political alternative to the corporate-controlled Democratic and Republican parties. We invite you to help build America's just future.

Getting the corrupting influence of money out of politics

The Justice Party is committed to eliminate the systemic corruption in government caused by the undue influence of concentrated sources of wealth (both corporate and individual), which has led to many serious ills in our society, including widespread poverty, infant and maternal mortality, expensive and inaccessible healthcare, record incarceration rates, and environmental destruction.

The 2016 Election:  A Call To Action

Many of us are still stunned at the results of the election that took place on November 8th. Donald Trump won the presidency, in large part, because he appealed to the emotions of a wide swath of Americans who are living in a state of financial insecurity. The policies of both major parties have resulted in ever-widening income inequality. Our middle class is shrinking, poverty is increasing, and the 1% (and the 1/10th of 1%) are accumulating more and more of our nation’s wealth.

Individuals worried about job stability in the future or struggling to make ends meet in the present, often lash out at others, blaming them for their woes and unenviable circumstances. This is particularly true when those others look, behave, or believe differently. This brand of divisive politics is corrosive. It turns Americans against each other. It leads to vitriolic political discourse and damages the fabric of our society. And if Donald Trump’s campaign rhetoric is to be believed, it will continue with him in the White House. It is therefore the responsibility of all Americans to vigilantly do all we can to refrain from disrespectful and divisive comments and actions, and pressure our new president and Congress to address the needs of the economically insecure. We must also let our government leaders, our fellow citizens, and the world know that we will not accept, nor will we sit idly by and watch, while some among us resort to misogyny, racism, homophobia, xenophobia, or any other form of discrimination, but will stand for and with those who are the targets of such hateful words and acts.

A major first step to addressing the growing social and economic chasm between Americans is to do as Trump himself suggested during his campaign: we must eliminate the corrupting influence of money on our political system. In the short term, we must do all we can to ensure that the ongoing protests against Donald Trump’s presidency occur peacefully and with respect for the property and safety of others. By the same token, we must exert any and all influence in our power to guarantee the police overseeing such protests refrain from the use of excessive force. It is critical that our citizens be permitted to peacefully express their discontent with the government, including the outcome of fair and honest elections, without fear of violence perpetrated against them by those who are entrusted to protect them.

We must show that the lives and livelihoods of all Americans matter, and we must ensure that our leaders truly represent the interests of all citizens. If we don’t, we will soon not have even a semblance of a democracy to save.

Join with the Justice Party to end the corrupted duopoly, restore fairness to our political system, and return the power to the people.
