I have taken all the reviews available, games I’ve watched him in and merged them all into one. Sorry if you feel that you guys have read some parts of the following report. Also took help from /omegaxLoL post for formatting. Hope you like and give me reviews about how can I improve.

Time at Castilla and Monaco

He joined Rio Ave FC on a six year deal in 2012 whom he would also make no appearances.Instead he’d go out on loan a month later to Real Madrid Castilla, making his first professional appearance in a defeat to recently relegated Villarreal, playing 90 minutes. He’d end the season playing 30 games, picking up 10 yellow cards, his discipline has improved since however. In this season under Jose he also made a sole, 14 minute appearance for the real, Real Madrid, even picking up an assist in a 6-2 victory over Malaga. Yet, Real made no effort to sign him, and he was sent to Monaco for two consecutive one year loans from the season beginning 2013/14.

In his first season, Fabinho played 90 minutes 18 times, and in these 18 times, Monaco lost just once. However, 2014/15 would be Fabinho’s true breakthrough season: he’d play 53 times during the course of the season, as Monaco made it to the quarter finals of the Champions League, beating Arsenal along the way, but narrowly losing to eventual finalists Juventus. It was after this season Fabinho had begun to make a name for himself: at 21 years old he made his first appearance for Brazil. In May 2015 Monaco officially signed Fabinho from Rio Ave for just 5 million pounds. Monaco President Vadim Vasilyev said upon his permanent transfer, “His versatility, his youth and his state of mind make him a great player for the future” (FourFourTwo).

2015/16 can be considered another success in the personal career of Fabinho, as he managed to make 34 Ligue 1 appearances for his side, however it was not as successful for Monaco. He scored 12 times and gave 6 assist. This season he played as a right-back and was tested in midfield when Alamy Toure played as a RB.

Style

• Full-Back

Fabinho, as a full-back, is incredibly attacking, yet has defensive capabilities. He often overlaps the winger.. He has both pace and power.. Fabinho is also quite tall (6 foot, 2 inches), which would help in both set piece situations, and long ball attacks. At Monaco he was not outpaced by wingers, and played his part in quick breaks.

• Centre Mid

In his new no 6 position he wins possession back and then quickly move the ball in to areas of the field where there is minimal pressure, and from which Monaco can build an effective attacking movement. Fabinho is superb at movement & position. His ability to read the game well and anticipate movement is one of his greatest traits. Coming in at over 6 feet, he is unusually tall for a full-back, though possesses great pace and technical quality to beat a defender. His movement, particularly on the overlap has aided Monaco immeasurably.His defensive statistics are also strong though not as fantastic as previous campaigns. Monaco did concede a lot of goals this season, and caught on the counter a couple of times. His versatility also helps his team, being deployed by Jardim in the holding role on more than a few occasions. His tough-tackling but pacey skillset helped to keep five clean sheets in an eight game run earlier this year.

In Monaco’s system what he does is takes the vacant space when Sidebe bombs forward so same can be expected with him and United as Valencia is a attacking threat and give us more defensive reliability. *Weakness: Good but not great passer, when his team is in winning position he sometimes looses concentration.

Manchester United

Compared to what Manchester United already have, Fabinho is a great blend of everything. He could play as the deepest midfielder, giving Mourinho the defensive midfielder he usually craves.

He’s not a Michael Carrick replacement, he’s not a big long-ball component, but he’s athletic in the mould of Claude Makélélé, Costinha or Lassana Diarra, if not more technical than those mentioned. Playing in a side that doesn’t prioritise possession in the same way that United do, Fabinho still averaged 58.4 passes per 90 minutes, less than the current midfielders at Old Trafford, but his completion percentage is close. He has a higher rate of short passes completed, showing he likes to keep the game simple, he’ll leave the long balls to Paul Pogba and Ander Herrera. The Brazilian wins more tackles per 90 than the Frenchman and Carrick, his clearances match Herrera and Pogba, and just fall short of the veteran Englishman.

Fabinho wouldn’t be a replacement for the former Spurs midfielder, but he’s something in the middle and the type of player Mourinho usually craves, but with that little spark of difference.

“I also saw a lot going on in the press. I’m happy to be linked with big clubs but if nothing real and clear happens, it doesn’t mean a thing, does it? He told FourFourTwo. “That’s why I keep on working.”

“I’ve spoken to David Luiz and Filipe Luis about their experience in the Premier League. Filipe told me that it’s a high intensity league, in every match. Maybe in other leagues you can rest in some weeks, but not in England. That’s a league where I want to play. Every match is sold out. Football in England is physical, but here in France it’s the same so I wouldn’t have problems adapting.”
