Hello, /r/DebateFascism, today I am going to be telling you about my ideology which I called Totalitarian Vanguardism, or Totalitarian Marxism-Leninism if you prefer. I am also a Third Wave Feminist and a claimer to the position of Vanguard Premier. Allow me to define some things for you, just to keep things clear.

What is Totalitarianism?

Totalitarianism is a form of system in which the State seeks to control as many aspects of life as possible. Totalitarianism, like many things, is a tool, a means to and end. Arguably, totalitarianism is a very risky means to an end, and a morally ambiguous one. However, totalitarianism would perhaps be the most effective way of prevent a counterrevolutionary Blanquist scenario from arising, a counterrevolutionary Deep State, if you will. It will also prevent undesirable elements from re-seizing a hold on the proletariat through misinformation, deception, and thereby creating a renewed counterrevolution.

I would like to reiterate that I don't take Totalitarianism lightly, and it would not be a permanent situation. The measures would gradually be reduced and abolished entirely as the postmodern consciousness of the proletariat is gradually achieved. There would also be exceptions to many Totalitarian measures as specific individuals prove themselves not needing them.

The Vanguard would control every aspect of the Revolution that it can, this includes holding military authority, establishing a State Security organization dedicated to rooting out counterrevolutionaries, establishing control over all streams of information, and complete education of the proletariat.

What is Vanguardism?

Vanguardism is a tendency of socialism based upon the contributions political theorist and revolutionary Vladimir Lenin made to Marxism. Since Marxism-Leninism has historically been the most popular tendency in the world, and the tendency associated with 20th century red states, it has faced both considerable defense and criticism including from socialists. Directly based upon Lenin’s writings, there is broad consensus however that Marxism-Leninism has two chief theories essential to it. Moreover, it is important to understand that beyond these two theories Marxist-Leninists normally do not have a consensus of opinion on additional philosophical, economic, or political prescriptions, and any attempts to attribute these prescriptions to contemporary Vanguardists will lead to controversy.

The first area that forms the basis of the ideology is the Vanguard. A working class evolution should include a special layer and group of proletarians that are full time professional revolutionaries. In a socialist revolution, the vanguard is the most class conscious section of the overall working class, and it functions as leadership for the working class and guides them towards class consciousness. Power is eventually relinquished back to the proletariat once full class consciousness is achieved.

However, my personal ideology calls for what I like to call postmodern consciousness as opposed to simply just class consciousness. The physical and mental destruction of all oppressive institutions and concepts from the next generations; education on the perils of whiteness, of sexism, of the gender binary, of the class system, etc. That is what I mean when I say postmodern consciousness, it is a few steps above, a more contemporary version of class consciousness, except it deconstructs all forms of oppression as opposed to just classism. It focuses on race, gender, sex, ability, etc. instead of just on class.

The second basis is Democratic Centralism. It is a model for how a socialist political party should function. A democratic centralist party functions by allowing all of its party members to openly debate and discuss issues, but expects all of its members to support the decision of the party once it has democratically voted. Lenin summarizes this as “Freedom of discussion, unity of action.” The benefit of this system is that it promotes a united front by preventing a minority of party members who disagree with a vote to engage in sectarianism and disrupt the entire party.

What is Third Wave Feminism?

Third Wave Feminism is a strain of Feminism that deals with issues women now face in the contemporary world. First Wave Feminism mainly dealt with getting women legal and political rights, the right to vote, the right to own property. Second Wave Feminism focused on women's private rights, the right to reproductive rights, the right to equal pay, the right to a degree of representation. Third Wave Feminism deals with cultural rights, the perception of women and sex in the media, rape culture. Third-wave feminism regards race, social class, transgender rights, and sexual liberation as central issues. However, it also pays attention to workplace matters such as the glass ceiling, sexual harassment, unfair maternity-leave policies, motherhood support for single mothers by means of welfare and child care, respect for working mothers.

Future Vanguard Premier?

Yes, I consider myself the best candidate for the position of Vanguard Premier in the future. In other words, I aim to lead the forefront of Revolution, at the very least in the USA, but I would also be eligible to lead it on a global scale, the global revolution. I have worked as a Revolutionary for years, for the majority of my life. I have done a lot for the Revolution, I am extremely knowledgeable on topics related to Communism and to Left thought.

As a result, I intend to attain the position of the leader of the Vanguard, the Vanguard Premier one way or another. You may find this a very unrealistic goal, but mind you, in the early 20th century, a boxcar with a handful of young Communists chugged into Moscow, years later, that handful of men came to embody the Soviet Union itself.
