I concede to your stance on mixing up the word private and secret. They're used interchangeably in day-to-day talk but since we're discussing politics here, I should have chosen my words more carefully. My point still stands that the lapse in judgement on Lynch and Clinton's part to have this meeting in full view of the press, but with no one inside, really hurt their campaign and forced Comey's hand. Again, do I agree with Comey's actions? HELL NAH. I hated that man when he released the letter to congressmen about the investigation, who then released it to the press. I made angry statuses and tweets and wanted Comey to burn for what he did to HRC.

Then I watched the full hearing yesterday. He brought up points I had never considered. I did some more reading about the meeting. It opened my mind to the possibility that he was answering honestly when he said it was one of the most difficult and emotional times of his life, which is why he reached out to Lynch before heading to Capitol Hill with his letter. She made a request to call it a matter, he upheld that request, but the press still read through the lines.

Look, you can't call every discussion who disagrees with your narrative "right-wing talking points". My ass is as liberal as it comes and I'm still rocking my Hillary bumper sticker. I was providing a perspective that quite frankly, changed after yesterday's hearing. That's it, baby. Don't accuse me of being a Trumpet. I knocked on doors and donated money I didn't have to her campaign.

EDIT: a reply to your edit — watch the full hearing and listen to his responses about that particular situation, and then do a lot of reading and watching interviews, analyses, and commentaries (and not just from places that fit our worldview). That will provide a better answer than I can on an online forum. After doing this, if you still hold the idea that Comey was out to maliciously bring down HRC, that's your prerogative and I can't do anything about it. That's also what is nice about this country for the time being, we can have different viewpoints and hold discussions. Name-calling gets us nowhere, though. I understand your frustration with the man especially considering who is in the WH now, but he's also our only hope to take the Orange out. It's my personal belief that we can't cherry-pick when we get to choose to believe him, and when we decide he was acting maliciously.

Do I know for certain? Hell no. This is just based off lots and lots and lots of research. For the time being, we can just agree to disagree.
