Trump on Tehran terrorist attack: Iran 'falling victim to the evil they promote'

President Trump said Iran is "falling victim" to the "evil" it promotes in his fist reaction to a terrorist attack in Tehran on Wednesday.

"We grieve and pray for the innocent victims of the terrorist attacks in Iran, and for the Iranian people, who are going through such challenging times," Trump said in a statement released by the White House. "We underscore that states that sponsor terrorism risk falling victim to the evil they promote."

At least 12 people died after the Iranian parliament and the Mausoleum of Ayatollah Khomeini came under attack from gunmen and suicide bombers Wednesday.
