It's summer! It's the transfer window! It's /r/reddevils Transfer Gossip Year 5!!

From now onwards, our Transfer Rules are in place! if you don't know what our transfer rules are, here's a quick run-down. ONLY Tier 2 articles/tweets or above are allowed to be posted as individual posts. Anything lower than that is encouraged not to be posted, as it will be removed.

This also means that miscellaneous transfer posts, e.g self-posts, stating 'who should we sign/sell' are also not allowed. Discussion will be limited to these threads. Huzzah, no more low effort self posts!

If you're confused as to what the Tiers are, here you go: https://www.reddit.com/r/reddevils/wiki/transfer-reliability-guide These threads will be posted daily, until the transfer window shuts. One every day, to be stickied to the top of the subreddit.

If there are any problems with a Tier or a post you've made that was removed incorrectly in your mind, feel free to message the mods and we'll have a look at it for you.

Who would you prefer, Lukaku, or Morata? and why?

Morata personally, simply because he's the more exciting player in my eyes. Lukaku is probably the safer bet all things considered.

Lukaku because he's PL proven. I'd still be very happy with Morata though.

Morata. There's no shame in being benched for what is probably the greatest attack in current world football. He's tall, direct, pacy, and great at involving himself in the build up of an attack. I'm not sold on Lukaku simply because I don't think he's good enough with his back to goal, his touch is clumsy and untrustworthy. Don't get me wrong, he's a great finisher but we're going to need someone who the rest of the team can play off and I just think Morata is a better, more well-rounded player. He'd also be a lot cheaper, and has also proven himself in th Champions League which Lukaku hasn't yet done. I genuinely think when going up against some of the best defences in the world, Morata would be more trustworthy and a bigger threat.

This isn't actually directly related to us but Kaveh Solhekol has claimed that City are now in advanced talks to sign Ryan Bertrand after Monaco demanded 40 million for Benjamin Mendy.

I know some people were interested in that deal on this sub.
