Risks and challenges
“Anything in life worth having is worth working for.” - Andrew Carnegie
Manufacturing Issues:
With the gloves being a soft goods product, the production process is not overly technical or complex. Additionally, final samples are already completed and while changes and issues might arise, we do not foresee them being ones that will not be addressable or solvable.
Fulfillment Issues:
Regarding the post-campaign fulfillment I can say this: There will be a concerted effort to ensure the community is kept abreast of the status of the fulfillment process. If something goes wrong, there will be a strict "No BS" policy. We won’t resort to stall tactics and there won’t be any spin. When something gets screwed up, and I have no delusions that it won’t happen in some way, we’ll let you know what happened, how it’s being fixed, and what’s being done to make sure the delivery timeline isn’t affected drastically.
It's Not Your Typical Crowdfunding Product:
This product might be atypical compared to many of the products that have achieved success via crowdfunding. The gloves do not have Bluetooth, they are not "smart", and they don't have 100 features with multiple compartments to store drugs (legal ones of course) like a travel bag. They can't charge your phone or tablet, and they aren't headphones or ear buds, however, they are wireless and I suppose you could use them for noise cancelling if you covered your ears with them.
So, the inherent risk is the unknown of how they will be received in the marketplace. This is rarely something that can be controlled. What can be controlled is the quality of what is brought to market and the effectiveness of the gloves at being beneficial in the ways stated throughout. Ultimately, I have confidence that others will find them as useful as I have - even if you can’t use them to take a leisurely ride on the beach.
