Man uploads graphic photo fat-shaming woman on private group

An Australian man decided to share screenshots of a video where he is having sex with a woman.

The photos were shared on Facebook in a private men’s group on Sunday with over 14,500 followers.

The photo circulating the internet is captioned:

“What is the biggest whale that you have harpooned? I went through a through a tubby phase and landed this 130kg beast.”

The photo was commented on 103 times and liked 230 times. 

There are reports that none of the comments defended the woman.

The photo being shared has the woman blanked out, however reports say the photo was clear and the woman was left exposed to a group of 14,500 people.

How the photo got out of the private group and into the public forum you ask?

Out of the 14,500 followers, one person decided to take action.

A member of the same group, Hayden Brein shared the image to his personal Facebook page on Monday because he was upset by the nature of the post.

Brein pointed out that the image was posted without the woman’s consent and it is unlikely the woman even knew she was being filmed. 

To add another layer to this horrible story - Facebook refused to delete the photo.

Brein reported the photo to Facebook and they replied that it did not breach Facebook’s Community Standards and would not be removed by them.

Brein shared the screenshot asking others to share it so Facebook would feel pressured to remove the post.

"I bite my tongue over the daily misogynistic, racist, homophobic & generally uneducated posts in the group because hey, this is a safe space for the working class Aussie males.

"This however crosses the line in a very, very big way, and needs to be stopped immediately. "Men's groups can be a great help to plenty of people going through tough times, but 'banter' is no excuse for this sort of behaviour.

"IT REMAINS IN THE GROUP FOR EVERYONE TO SEE IDK HOW THIS IS BEYOND A JOKE.

"If you wanna share this and make Facebook take notice that'd be great cause I'm sick of every bloke on planet earth thinking we're some kind of master race and treating women as second rate human beings."

Brein's post was met with praise from social media.

“Hayden, THANK YOU so much for standing up for what’s right even when you know you’d cop sh*t for it. Is it in Victoria? Because revenge porn is a criminal offence if it is ... I thought Facebook community standards were improving. Obviously not.”

It is heart-breaking that a man chose to do this to a woman and he needs to be identified to the police.
