President Donald Trump reacted to the London terror attack on Twitter this morning, apparently in reaction to coverage from Fox & Friends (and not for the first time).
At 7:19 am ET, the president tweeted about how we need to stop being so PC:
We must stop being politically correct and get down to the business of security for our people. If we don't get smart it will only get worse
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) June 4, 2017
A guest on Fox & Friends earlier made a similar point:
Minutes later, Trump criticized comments by London Mayor Sadiq Khan:
At least 7 dead and 48 wounded in terror attack and Mayor of London says there is "no reason to be alarmed!"
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) June 4, 2017
Fox & Friends mentioned Khan’s remarks a few times this morning:
This is the full context of what the mayor said (video below via Fox News):
“Londoners will see an increased police presence today and over the course of the next few days. No reason to be alarmed. One of the things the police and all of us need to do is make sure we’re as safe as we possibly can be.”
And lastly, Trump tweeted this out:
Do you notice we are not having a gun debate right now? That's because they used knives and a truck!

Earlier in the program, before the tweet was sent out, that first sentence was uttered by one of the Fox & Friends hosts almost verbatim:
