IBDP, short for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program, is a two-year international education program. Here is where the unfortunate students placed in the program can discuss the hellish condition that IB is providing them with. IB is similar to other curriculum, like AP and A-Levels; however, most IB students will agree that the IB is pretty damn unfair and difficult.
IB is aimed at students aged 16-19, and IB-offering schools are found all over the world. The program serves as a qualification for higher education, recognized by many universities worldwide.
In IB, students will be subject to the following:
- 6 subjects out of 30+ subjects to choose from, each from a different subject group, including languages, social sciences, arts, math and science
- a mandatory philosophy-esque class known as "Theory of Knowledge" which requires a presentation and essay
- a 4000 word essay of a specific subject
Here at /r/IBO, aside from general discussion, you will find students complaining about the IB, as well as fresh memes to browse from. May is usually the most busy month, with the majority of second year IB students facing their inevitable exams.
One of our top posts: May 2016Higher Level Physics Exam Paper 1 and 2 discussion - May 2016's higher level physics students were tormented by these two exams. This discussion thread had around 600 comments before it was archived. The exams were considered so difficult that it warranted a petition regarding the exam
