Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini says he is open to moving to the Chinese Super League in the future.
Fellaini, 29, penned a new one-year contract in January to keep him at United until 2018, and sources told ESPN FC in April that manager Jose Mourinho wants him to sign another extension.
The former Everton man told VTM Nieuws he is currently focused on United, but when asked if he would ever follow his Belgium teammate Axel Witsel to China, he failed to rule out a move. Witsel left Zenit St Petersburg for Tianjin Quanjian in January.
"In China? Why not?" Fellaini said. "I'm now a Manchester United player, but I do not rule out such a transfer in the future."
Fellaini, who is currently with the Belgium squad for their upcoming games against Czech Republic and Estonia, added that he is happy playing at United under Mourinho, who knows how to get the best out of him.
"He knows how to use me and I play wherever he needs me," Fellaini, who made 28 Premier League appearances this term, said. "At the start of the season, I played as a No. 6, then as a No. 8 and then a No. 10.
"He knows my qualities and knows how to use me. If he plays me, I will play there and give my best."
