WhO is Ryosuke Yamanishi?

 
 
Ryosuke YAMANISHI (1984 - present) is a Japanese researcher and composer. He was born on Otowa-cho (presently, Toyokawa city), Aichi pref., Japan.

He has played the piano since he was 3 years old, and started composing music when he was 15 years old. When he was 18 years old, he was moved by Hidenori Itoh, who is currently an emeritus professor at Nagoya Institute of Technology, and decided to research music and affection with informatics.

2003, he has graduated from Aichi prefectural Koh high school, and entered Department of Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science, Nagoya Institute of Technology. 2007, he has graduated from Nagoya Institute of Technology and entered Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Graduated School of Engineering, Nagoya Institute of Technology. 2009, 2012 he has received each degree of Master and Ph. D. of Engineering. He has joined  to Dept. of Media Technology, Ritsumeikan University as Research Associate 2012-2013, Research Assistant Professor 2013-2014, and Assistant Professor 2014-present. During Sep. 2016 through Mar. 2017, he has joined at LCI, UBC, BC, Canada as a Visiting Assistant Professor; thanks to Prof. Iwahori's connections. His current main research theme is affective language processing, music informatics applying language processing, and affective informatics for entertainment computing.
