Is this saying that the heirs earn half a million an hour? That seems pretty crazy

I really don't get where the numbers are coming from.

Each of the 3 main heirs are worth ~40 billion each. If they are getting 5% interest on that, it's roughly 2 billion per year. That is close to a million per hour (assuming a 40 hour work week).

But like... can we consider that "earning"? That is just getting interest on money. Walmart isn't paying them that... you aren't paying higher prices at walmart to give them that money.

The CEO of walmart gets ~20 million a year. That is like 9k an hour (40 hour week). That is a lot... but if we gave his entire salary to all the workers at walmart... they would each get an extra $10. Per year. Once. That is less than half a penny raise per hour.

Of course, capitalists make money through capital gains, not hourly wages, and this is why this info-graph makes no sense as a critique of collectivization.

What is meant by "manning the ship" and "hungry for those positions"?
