Dr. Ben Carson, a pediatric neurosurgeon and author of six best-selling books, gave a talk about creationism vs. evolution and said he believes the theory Charles Darwin “came up with was something that was encouraged by the adversary,” Satan, the Devil.
“Interestingly enough, this [evolution theory] is a relatively modern science concept,” said Dr. Carson at the conference Celebration of Creation. "Before Darwin came along, it wasn’t.”
“You know, scientists like Sir Isaac Newton – considered one of the most scientific minds ever, inventor of calculus, so many things – had a strong belief in God, big mission outreach,” said Dr. Carson. “Einstein! When you think about genius, what is the word you come up with? Einstein. He believed in God.”
“A lot of people believe in God,” said Carson, “but I personally believe that this theory that Darwin came up with was something that was encouraged by the adversary [Satan].”
“And it has become what is scientifically politically correct,” he said. “Amazingly, there are a significant number of scientists who do not believe it but they’re afraid to say anything.”
“One of the things I’m hoping to do over the next few years, one of the books coming up on my docket,” Carson continued, “is called The Organ of Species – not The Origin of Species, The Organ of Species – and we’re going to talk about the organs of the body and how they completely refute evolution, and several other things as well.”
“People who are believers will have something they can grasp onto that is not too technical because when you look at a lot of the creationist stuff, they use technical terms to define technical situations and you don’t know anymore than when you started reading them.”

“So, you have to break that all down so people have a really good understanding of it.,” he said. “I think when there’s a lot of people that have a good understanding of it and they can put up a decent argument, I think we’ll begin to make some progress.”
Dr. Ben Carson, 64, was educated at Yale University and the University of Michigan. He was the director of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital, and was also a professor of oncology and pediatrics.
In 2004, Carson served on the President’s Council on Bioethics and in 2008 he was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom. In 2010, Dr. Carson was elected into the National Academy of Sciences Institute of Medicine, considered one of the most prestigious honors in medicine.
Dr. Carson. A Seventh-day Adventist Christian, is married (Lacena “Candy” Carson) and has three sons. He is a contender for the Republican nomination for president.
