Ahh man, a well-deserved break coming up. What do you teach? My wife is a teacher so I feel your pain somewhat.

Teachers are one of the most under-appreciated members of society. The amount of shit you folks deal with on a daily basis - MAINLY from kids and even parents of kids who still hold on to a bizarre "US vs THEM" mentality against teachers - it's unreal. You'd think people would be happy you're both a) looking after their kids for ~7 hours a day and b) equipping with an education, the most valuable gift anyone can give.

Sorry, that got ranty. Hats off to you man anyway!

Got my friends coming over to play a few board games tomorrow. Hoping to try out Small World and Dead of Winter before finishing with the Game of Thrones game, should be awesome. What are everyone elses games of choice?

Can't remember the last time I played a board game, and it was no doubt monopoly whenever it was. The gameof thrones one sounds good tho. Less than 2 months till new series, so hyped.

Yeah it's going to be top. I've going the board game to be either 6 hours of awesomeness or 6 hours of total boring waiting for the right cards to come up. When it's good it's really fucking good though

Its a notary strategy game where you each play a big family with different strengths and abilities and you have to control as many of the major castles in westeros as possible. It's sort of like risk but if you took out the dice rolling in fights so its strictly numbers based. But the cool thing about it is every player goes at the same time, placing tokens representing what your actions are face down on the board. This means you can bluff what you're doing to back stab allies which is great. If you're interested it's worth looking for the online tutorial on YouTube.

Been finishing off Life is strange, enjoying it but the one thing which is holding me back is the teen drama of it all. Would love a similar type of game with less cringe and more grit type of story.

Been playing the shit out of Player Unknowns battlegrounds. Jesus that game is intense, won my first couple of games in last couple of days and afterwards I needed a minute to calm down. Heart rate was going a dinger and hand was shaking. Great game and still only in early access, would for sure reccomend to anyone who likes survival fps type games

Have shared my interest for a potential traineeship near me. The main guy seems like a decent bloke. He said he'd let me know at the end of the month when they decide, there's 6 places to be had and I really want to seal my spot. You think me sending a basket of cakes to the office or something is too much? They're only a small company like 10 employees max. Thoughts?

I think that's massively naive, I've been in your position and looking back have done things similar that I cringe at, chances are they're monitoring your social media, a small nod on Twitter saying "interview for traineeship went well, decent people and really friendly atmosphere, fingers crossed I get it", but don't mention the company.

Might seem random to other people, but if they're watching, they'll appreciate that.

I set myself the challenge in the squad goals thread of starting to rap and make my own tune since I'm really into hip-hop/grime/drill and it's starting to get a lot better. I've come quite a long way but I'm starting to get some proper lyrics down that flow well and some complex word play. Hoping to have something for you guys in the summer break but I'm gonna need to buy a mic and find a computer to record on first.

Whatever really! I'm an outgoing lad so not too worried about anything but I'll take all the tips I can get :)
