I'm not even saying this to be contrarian or pissy. But I don't recall identifying as anything other than either Heterosexual or Straight.
So correct me if I'm wrong, and I say this as someone who actually has gay/homosexual friends and relatives....how is this different than a straight person using the terms "queer" or "faggot?" As someone who has loved ones that are gay and lesbian I find the aforementioned terms offensive on their behalf.
I'll have to read up on the origin of "cis-gendered" but it seems to me to be a thinly veiled hate-term.
What are your thoughts? If I am in the wrong, I'm listening.
