For context, I'm still in highschool. The whole genetic legacy thing interests me for a variety of reasons that I won't bear you down with. If I were to try and pass on the genes, I would wait until I'm old, perhaps 50-60, where I can have enjoyed my youth and have enough money to retire and homeschool the child(ren).
At one point I was MGTOW, but in name only. I was willing to risk divorce to have a traditional family. I realized, however, I can't trust any single person in the world to raise a child with my values. No nanny, no stay-at-home mom, no state - just myself. If you don't raise the child, the genes are meaningless.
So anyway, do any of you guys have experience with surrogacy? What are the risks involved (I'm sure there are some)?
