I suddenly noticed something was out of place (see images).
First this guy (Harrold) was King of the Night's Watch, and after that he became the Lord Magister.
Now I'm not sure if this is a bug or a 'feature', but does anyone have an explanation for this?

His kin was his liege in a Merchant Republic. He inherited.

Except a non-republic vassal shouldn't be able to inherit the title. His father was a regular republic however, and that guy broke his oath and became the night king so maybe that's relevant
