Liam Kosta is the most hated on companion in Andromeda, Preston Garvey is the most hated on companion in Fallout 4, Vivienne is the most hated on companion in Inquisition, Jacob Taylor is the most hated on companion in ME2…..its almost like…..there’s a pattern here…..
not to be a dick but if you’re using this post to explain why you hate these characters with the addendum “but it’s not because they’re black!” consider: not making everything about you and shutting up instead of derailing the point of the post like jfc
Regardless of there being legitimate reasons to dislike these characters specifically, any character has the potential to be disliked by some people. The point is that black characters are getting looked at w/ a magnifying glass. Any minor thing gets criticized, even traits that are celebrated with white characters (see Liam) or they’re simply dismissed at first glance (Vivienne is one of the most nuanced and complex characters in all of DA and fandom would realize that if they just looked at her more closely. But bc she’s black, they simply have no interest in doing that).
thankfully, Jacob Taylor doesn’t suffer from that problem because he doesn’t have any traits whatsoever
