You wouldn't believe it reading this sub, but we're in a European final. Can't wait.

Frightening how whether our season will end up good or unacceptable all depends on one final game.

Indeed mate. This final could shape our future for at least the next few years.

Win it and we'll probably kick on from there with our league form.

Lose it, however, and I honestly fear that we will start becoming like Liverpool and end up in the wilderness for a good few years.

I fucking hate finals.

Win it and we enter the CL, don't lose any Adidas money, have done a double in Mou's first season and will effectively, enable us to forget about our home draws in the league this season that's led us to finish wherever we finish in the league.

Lose it and we have Europa again next season, a whole summer of shitposts and then next season the focus will still be on the bad parts of this season.

Even if we win it's not a good season tbh (for once I agree with the miserable Keano). There are however a lot of positives to take from this season and regardless of what happens in the final I will still think Mourinho is the right guy to get us on track again.

I agree and disagree but only because I wouldn't see finishing 4th as a "good" season either, should be the minimum really.

But if you see 4th as a good season then winning Europa is even better than that given it's direct qualification to the CL and a trophy.

Mid year exams are in 2 weeks. Panic stations: activated.

Good luck with that. I'm so relieved, I no longer have to worry about exams. Still don't have this adult thing figured out though.

You'll realize most adults don't. We're all just playing it by ear.

I browse a lot of other clubs subs, and Liverpool is literally the only sub that I constantly see upvoted posts wishing for injuries on their rivals. I saw it again today wishing Spurs injure a pile of our players ahead of the EL final. We all hate each other, and there's posts I disagree with on City's sub all the time but they don't stoop that low. Nor do I ever see Arsenal fans wishing it on Spurs fans.

They are genuinely a disgusting bunch who have trouble drawing a line between supporting your club and wishing harm on people.

They're so obsessed with us it's hilarious. Their "european football discussion" thread is basically just a million whiny comments about how easy our road to the final has been and them getting upvoted to the moon. Maybe if they didn't finish 8th they could be in the EL final themselves, the useless cunts.

Yeah they claim we're the obsessed ones but I don't remember any "midweek European football discussion" threads last season when we weren't in Europe anymore.

That thread is such a state. Heavily upvoted comments like this:

United fans taking the piss out of Aspas. Bunch of Obsessed cunts act like Europa was a micky-mouse trophy last year, and then celebrate like in Instanbul when they beat a few rubbish teams this year. Hope Ajax batter these wankers after Pogba misses in the penalty shootout.

I mean I can feel the anger with which that was written.

Also I think it's hilarious the guy still managed to shoehorn in a reference to Istanbul. I know it's effectively the last success they had but come on, it was 12 years ago.

They are the most obliviously delusional fanbase on Reddit by a mile. I loved this exchange on /r/soccer today. It's like they don't even realize what they're doing and why it's hilarious.

They can't even fucking say United. They say scum like it makes them better. Fuck them really and their pathetic hopes of nothing, being nothing, having nothing to talk about and celebrating nothing. Long may nothing continue.

You get bitter when you've done fuck all for a quarter plus of a century in the league I suppose.

Mourinho is already close to winning more in 10 months then they've won in 10 years lol.

If you want to have some fun, go look at their reactions to Milner's penalty miss against Southampton

Mou's approach to the game isn't the most entertaining some times, but considering the squad he inherited at the start of the season it's phenomenal that we could finish the season with 2 cups and a CL spot.

It's like SAF said, "attacking wins games, defending wins titles". With the inconsistencies of us going forward can you blame him for his defensive approach last night. It had the potential for going wrong but in less than 2 weeks we might have secured our return to CL football.

The squad was OK, but so many fucking injuries to critical players

Free talk? Fuck football! I love my job, I love my girlfriend! Life is sweet for now.

Anyone willing to discuss Radiohead with me?

It's funny how people who don't actually listen to Radiohead always say their music is "depressing". And yet, in my darkest hours when all I did was lay in bed and stare at the celling I'd put "In Rainbows" on and it actually made me feel a lot better. I can't explain it.

I remember listening to "Nude" back when I was at my parents house, and my sister would protest and walk out of room because she thought it sounded "too fucking depressive".

[–]craptionbotMarouane "Imma fuck you up" Fellaini

Man I fell out with my best friend over Radiohead. He claimed they were "boring" and, get this, described them as "crappy pop music". He clearly never listened to them and made his mind up after hearing a small snippet of one window of their career.

Listen to a song like Little by Little - that's not depressing. Go to Sleep - not depressing. Just - not depressing. They're the closest thing to the Beatles since the Beatles IMO.

Yeah I have a friend who whates them as well. He says they're pretentious emo music. But then again, he's the type of guy who would go to the cinema to watch a movie just because it has lots of CGI effects in it, so...

Anyway, I'm not sure I've ever met someone who's indifferent when it comes to Radiohead. People either love them or despise them.

One exam left in a week and Uni is done. Can't wait I'm sick of revising!

[–]Flick_My_Bean_Geoff 2 ポイント3 ポイント  (1子コメント)

Sick of reading comments about Mou parking the bus and always sitting back on 1-0 leads.

Maybe if his attackers would actually score when we do go for it he might attack a bit more in that scenario. I don't blame him for keeping it tight when we'd probably score the same amount of goals anyways.

Completely agree, we'd probably be in a much worse position if we continued to go for goals past the 70 minute mark.

Massive fan of the Alien franchise, and going to see the new one tomorrow. Hearing conflicting things about it, and I'm usually picky with what I see in cinemas, but this franchise is my weakness. Here's hoping it's a step up from Scott's disappointing previous film in the franchise.

Went to the movies to see Guardians of the Galaxy 2. Funniest shit was kids cheering every time Groot appeard on the screen.

That was such an awesome movie. Went with zero expectations and laughed A LOT.

Yeah I'd say it was funnier than the first one. Overall I'd say it was a predictable outcome, you could see it from miles away. But I enjoyed the movie regardless.

Thinking of buying a new car but undecided between:

Reasonably in my budget:

  • 3 series, Focus ST

Expensive but potentially doable:

  • 4 series, Focus RS, CLA AMG

The potentially doable list is pretty awesome. Tough choices, but I do know the RS is an absolute blast to drive.

Are NMDs worth buying? I hear good things about the boost technology but dont wanna buy just for the hype.

I don't have NMDs, but I have a pair of yeezys and a couple ultra boosts, and the boost technology is incredible. 100% the comfiest shoes I've worn. You have your eyes set on particular NMDs?

I was eyeing for a standard (non primeknit) black/grey R1. But the newest R2 model is tempting as well.

Any for the North West 200 this weekend? Don't think weather to be good which is typical as sun been shining all week but hope it's a good weekend and not many bad injuries for the riders.

Start a new job in a lab Monday. What would be suitable smart /casual things to wear for the first few weeks?
