I have been watching Big Bang Theory for the last few weeks and I noticed a few things about it.

1.) Raj is a successful astrophysicist yet the other characters constantly make fun of him for not having a woman. Even when he is talking to the guys, he will often obsess over his poor communication skills with women and how his life is incomplete without one.

2.) Howard is an engineer and has even gone to space. He is married but is one of the most beta characters I have seen. The dude cowers when challenged by his wife. He occasionally makes fun of his best friend Raj for not having a woman because the plantation could also use another slave I guess.

3.) Penny is washed up and has probably slept with a gazillion men before settling with Leonard, who is a brilliant scientist. She has obviously hit the wall and has found a beta provider who is a "nice" guy and whatnot. There is this scene when she is drunk and actually proposes to him and then gets angry when he says no.

4.) The only dude who might be MGTOW is Sheldon but then again even he has a girlfriend for some reason even though he is not really interested in her.

I don't watch much tv but I am quite sure that other shows perpetuate the same BS that Big Bang does. It's a sad reflection on our society.
