If, as Oscar Wilde said, the primary duty of life is health, this explains why the priority of a crack regiment of dynamic, vibrant (trying not to say “middle-aged”) women is fitness.
Many women get up to work out, not to go to work, although they do that too. Anna Wintour, editor of US Vogue, plays tennis every morning at 5.30am. Sheryl Sandberg of Facebook rises at 6am, works out in her home gym and is in the office, leaning in, by 8am.
