Something fucky in r/MarchAgainstTrump : out of the top 100 submissions for the month, 32 are from suspended or deleted accounts. 39 are from currently active bots. (self.subredditcancer)

Of the top 100 submissions for the month:

  • 22 accounts are suspended by Reddit admins.
  • 10 accounts are deleted.
  • 39 submissions are currently from active bots.
  • 13 submissions are from the sub's moderators.
  • 1 is from a spammer/karma farmer.
  • 2 from GallowBoob
  • 5 from suspicious but possibly legit accounts.
  • 8 seemingly legit accounts.

I also have good evidence of one of their moderators using multiple bots and sock puppet accounts. I will write a specific report on that, probably tomorrow.

I still have a screenshot of r/MarchAgainstTrump 's top post when it first started.

The post had 9,000 upvotes when they had less than 1,600 subscribers, and only 160 were online.

I'll try to contact the admins on this.

Admins definitely know. They've suspended dozens of accounts from that sub. I have evidence about one of the mods using bots, I guess I should share that with the admins.

I mean, they can get those votes from /r/all, but whenever something reaches /r/all there's usually at least SOME spillage into the sub, especially if it's some bullshit with 50k+ votes.

Interesting thing to note:

Between the 1st and 27th ranks, the majority of the accounts are suspended. After that it's mainly bots.

Between the 1st and 27th ranks are all the posts with +8000 upvotes. Ranks 28th to 35th drop straight down to 1000 upvotes. By the 50th top post it's only at 198 upvotes.

The top 27 posts were no doubt majorly coordinated by shills and upvote bots.

I got banned from that sub for pointing out the spam from the creator and his alt. This was before his account was terminated. My ban hasn't been removed yet.

Every pop up sub against trump is run by shills

You can tell a shill sub vs legit because a shill sub will have 1 super highly upvoted link while the other links are only to 30

Ehh, that's not really the best indicator. Pretty much every sub that isn't a default is like that. I just explained this in a comment the other day regarding the /r/evilbuildings top mod accusations.

Once his submission takes off, it doesn't matter how good your post is. If you submitted an hour after him and his post already has 50 points, yours is not going to go anywhere. This is the case of any subreddit that isn't a default. Go to /r/RarePuppers any morning between 7-10AM EST and you will easily see the one post of the day that's taking off. It will get 8-20K points while almost everything else will stay under 1,000 points. Go to GallowBoob or SlimJones123 accounts between 6-10AM and you will see them submitting to subs like /r/HoldMyBeer or /r/Unexpected because they know if they don't get their gif in first, someone else will submit and get the top post of the day.

In default subs there are so many people browsing /new at any given time that a lot of posts will take off all day long. If the content is good enough, you could submit to /r/gifs at 3AMEST and it could hit the front page 2 hours later. But small subs like this only get one high scoring post a day (Unless it's /r/NFL during playoffs or /r/soccer during the World Cup). So it's all about the submission time.

That's just how reddit works. 1 top post a day from smaller subs will be on your front page. You'd have to actually visit the sub itself to upvote everything else.
