Let's say I have Sydri, Galvanic Genius animate Goblin Boom Keg and give it lifelink. If the keg dies and its damaging ability triggers, do I gain any life?

Yes. It’s the GBK as it existed on the battlefield that’s the source of the damage. At that time, it had lifelink.
