As of today we have conceded only 24 goals in 31 games. We are currently second, only to Tottenham who conceded 22 goals but played one game more (32 v 31).

We had a clean sheet 11 times this season which gives a solid percentage of 37.9%. This also places our King Dave on the third place in the clean sheet table, only 2 behind Courtois and Lloris who are joint leaders with 13.

For comparison, last season our goals conceded after 31 games stood at 27 and we ended the league with a total of 35 goals conceded. To match that we would have to concede 11 goals in our remaining 8 games.

Also FYI - as of today we have scored a total of 48 goals in the league this season. Last season's total was 49. We still got 8 games to go this season. Improvements all over the park.

We've also only lost 3 games, same as Spurs.

All Jose needs to do is find someone or some way to turn maybe half of our draws into wins and repeat this season's performances and we'll be back at the top of the league, at least fighting for the title.

It's a lot more impressive than last season considering we're not playing horrendously safe possession football that made our defence even better than it was. Look at how little we rely on De Gea now. Rojo has been an absolute revelation and has been our best CB this season. I still can't believe I'm saying that.

It's a good base to build on, we're pretty tough to beat. It's just up front we need to improve on. A top attacking player is needed to help us finish off those bus parking teams we hate to play against, as we're about 20 goals off the rest of the top 6. Hopefully next season we won't be as wasteful in front of goal, as I think the likes of Rashford, Mkhitaryan and Pogba should contribute at least 10 league goals each.
