"This reminds me of the time i came home during a bad snowstorm around midnight. I lived in a bad neighborhood and never knew it until i mentioned my street in telling this story at work;
I tried to get my little 92 Corolla up a steep snowy driveway. I had just moved from a warmer state and never bought a shovel due to time constraints (worked 12-14 hour shifts). No luck. I get out and get a lid to a trash can and start shovelling.
Big ginormous buff dude walks up from across the street behind me, "you need help?" And without waiting for a reply, puts a second shovel in the snow and starts shovelling.
Im floored, i was not expecting this, so i thank him profusely and offer him a cig. He says no, he doesn't smoke that stuff. I pack us a bowl and he refused anything more for helping. He just got back from his shift when he saw me struggling. He ended up driving my car up for me, afterwards too.
Seriously, stuff like this keeps humanity moving forward. It fills you with such gratefulness that humanity exists in some people. Thanks again, random neighbor."
