I'm currently at 5.7 Germany in War Thunder, and thus have begun to infiltrate the elite ranks of wehraboos.

One recent teammate of mine, nametagged "FashyGoy", spent the whole match bitching about why he thought the Tiger H1 needed to be 5.0 and complaining that the size of the Sinai map gave the (((allied teams))) too much of an advantage.

I've also noticed a sharp increase in players with "Rommel", "Wittmann", "14" and "88" in their nametags.

WT also has a new WWII Chronicles event until May 10. This event consists of battles between Russia and Germany on Eastern Front-themed maps, with vehicles organized by era instead of battle rating. Unfortunately neither of the KVs are allowed in the first event (1930s - 1941 vehicles) because the wehraboos would bitch and whine about them too much.

Personally, I really like this. It goes back to WT's roots and eliminates the unrealism often present in "realistic" battles. I'm just hoping I can get the Matilda ZiS-5 before the event ends.

However, they have also added literal RNG to the penetration values of some rounds, thus furthering War Thunder's descent into arcadey garbageness. Heavy reliance on RNG was one of the reasons why I couldn't get into WoT, and now it's starting to make its way into War Thunder.

Steel Division is thus far glorious on the SWS front. The Nazis aren't total shit but wehrbs are hitting a brick wall as they realize the PzIV is inferior to the Sherman, the Panther isn't a god-tier hyper monster and well Eugen fucked up Grenadiers so they prefer to use Kar98s when the enemy comes into rifle range over their MGs.

Panthers are still extraordinarily dangerous though. Eugen did give the nazis their due, but they did fail to give them enough availability. Running out of grenadiers is a big threat as the 12th SS, and running out of grenadiers is pretty much your life as Luftlande.

I've always wondered how tanks work in games like Steel Division and H&G. Is there a server cap on how many tanks are on each team?

Tanks are very vulnerable. Infantry can survive a close range engagement with just about anything short of an AVRE or flamethrower unit. Tanks can get popped by one lucky shot, and AT guns usually outrange tanks. 76mm AT on the US side has 1.2km of range(as does the 17pdr and 75mm pak), most tanks do 1km other than the Panther.

Big tank pushes are hard to stop though as long as they aren't all clustered up.

Steel Division is an RTS btw.

So I'm writing a thesis for a historiography unit that says that Nazi Germany crumbled because resources relating to the holocaust stifled the war effort. I'm trying to use Holocaust vs Wehrmacht by Yaron Pasher, Wages of Destruction, just looking at whether there are others.
