Maybe its because I grew up in the American (US) culture of sports. But, when an athlete gets an injury - an a major sport in the States (MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL, etc) - injuries are disclosed quite well. normally the anatomical name and the injured site is given (ex. Achilles Tendon, patellar tendon, etc.). Also, they disclose how severe it is (ex. grade 1 strain, rupture, etc.) and a time frame of the prognosis.
Why is it in football, all these facts are so ambiguous. Do people in Europe, or my specifically England, simply not care?
