5' A good, open game so far. Anderlecht haven't been afraid to come out and keep possession but no major chances for either side so far.

7' United have settled on the ball now as Anderlecht sit a bit deeper. United are trying to use Rashford and Lingard's pace in behind to stretch Anderlecht, while Anderlecht look to counter. Rashford is also playing pretty deep when defending and coming back as a defensive winger when needed.

15' United have had the majority of the possession but Anderlecht have definitely looked dangerous on the counter attack. They have a corner...

15' A succession of Anderlecht corners are cleared and they eventually get the ball in the back of the net from a ball back into the box but the striker is offside and it won't count.

17' SOMEHOW UNITED DON'T SCORE!!! RASHFORD WHIPS A LOW BALL IN AND IT CAUSES TROUBLE AFTER AN IBRAHIMOVIC TOE-POKE AND THE BALL BOBBLES AROUND TO LINGARD AT THE FAR POST BUT HE CAN'T DO ANYTHING BUT SMACK THE BALL AGAINST THE POST!

23' MANCHESTER UNITED YELLOW CARD Mkhitaryan is the first in the book for a cynical trip on Tielemans in midfield.

28' United are doing well to find holes through and over the Anderlecht defence, especially with them not sitting back with 10 behind the ball but we just can't get the final shot away to challenge the goalkeeper. There have been quite a few last-ditch challenges to stop Lingard and Rashford and Mkhi.

35' United settling on the ball again while Anderlecht drop back into a more defensive shape. Their goalkeeper hasn't really been tested yet.

36' MANCHESTER UNITED GOAL AS I SAY THAT, WE SCORE! Rashford strikes a cross first time that forces a low diving save by the goalkeeper but Mkhitaryan is on hand to turn the ball home from a very tight angle! We lead with an away goal!

40' United back to controlling the tempo. We're playing a lot more quick passes than we usually do around the box. Quite a few one-twos and it seems to be working out. We're also putting very intense pressure on them when they have the ball trying to get it back as quickly as possible.

46' MANCHESTER UNITED YELLOW CARD Almost immediately, Carrick gives away a free kick on the edge of the area and gets booked for it.

47' The strike is over the bar and doesn't worry Romero.

53' Anderlecht have started the second half very brightly and are putting United under quite a bit of pressure. They have another corner now but it comes to nothing and Romero easily gathers.

57' United slowly growing back into the game but Anderlecht are still looking brighter in the second half. The pace has slowed in the past five minutes and United are trying to settle on the ball.

66' ANDERLECHT YELLOW CARD Obradovic gets booked for an atrocious tackle on Marcus Rashford on the counter attack. That was shocking and we're lucky he's not injured.

69' United have quelled the Anderlecht attacking threat for now and the game has slowed but we haven't created many chances recently with a lot of chippy fouls in midfield slowing down our momentum. Anderlecht are still looking positive though and trying to attack whenever they can.

74' MANCHESTER UNITED SUBSTITUTION Fellaini ON || Rashford OFF

75' Anderlecht have looked particularly dangerous down the wings and have been doing well to skip past some tackles but we've been doing well in defence to just stop the danger before they can get a shot off at Romero. It's also opened the game up for counter attacks, but we haven't been able to get forward after Anderlecht attack.

80' United mostly defending but Fellaini just tested Ruben from range with a deflected shot but Ruben does well to gather the powerful shot at the second attempt.

82' RUBEN IS FORCED INTO ANOTHER SAVE! Ibrahimovic finds Pogba well with a ball through into the box but Pogba's shot across his body and across goal is saved well behind for a corner. Fellaini can't get any power on the subsequent header from the corner and Ruben gathers easily.

85' ANDERLECHT GOAL Anderlecht equalise through Dedoncker! The ball is crossed from the left and Dedoncker flies in ahead of Darmian and Fellaini and the header is far too powerful for Romero to do anything about.

90+1' MANCHESTER UNITED YELLOW CARD Fosu-Mensah gets booked for sliding in with two feet. He should be careful.

90+1' Pogba also just missed a golden opportunity by trying to square the ball when he was through on goal instead of just taking the shot from a slightly inopportune angle.
